Is Sunday School relevent in today's world? It certainly is. Scott Graham, pastor of the Sanctury church in Florissant, Mossouri clearly echos our sentiments, "Let's see," he wrote. "Teaching God's Word. Loving children. Investing spiritual truth. Equipping believers. Guiding new converts. Welcoming guests. How could it not be relevant?" A church without a vibrant Sunday School program will certainly have difficulty carrying out Christ's great commission (Matthew 28:20). |
We believe the Sunday School program is not only an invaluable tool of evangelism, it is essential to the life of our nation. Our public schools have become indoctrination centers where our children are taught the virtues of alternative lifestyles, sexual promescuity, socialism, evolution and tolerance for nearly every view and behavior except those espoused by Christ and His church. To make matters worse, we even have to pay for our children to be misled. Thomas Jefferson wrote, "To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical."
Our Sunday School lessons are tailored to each age group, including adults. Each lesson is biblically based, Christ centered and designed to help us conform to the ways of Christ, and not to the ways of the world (Romans 12:2).
